About the Job

Basic Function:

  • Performs Captain duties on assigned airplane in compliance with Operating Manuals and other duties as assigned by Chief Pilot or Fleet Captain.

  • Responsible for complete knowledge of operating procedures in assigned airplane.

  • Performs standby duty as assigned.

  • Conducts interior and pre-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness, including checking aircraft log, engine hours, aircraft hours, and maintenance work performed.

  • Mentors new First Officers to help them improve and develop their skills.

  • Ensures all passenger manifests and documents are completed, passengers are accounted for, and cargo is loaded and secured. Obtains flight clearance and clears with Customs and Immigration officials.

  • Checks weather reports and ensures safe weather conditions for the route; cancels flight if conditions are unsafe.

  • Pilots the aircraft in accordance with established airman procedures and applicable rules and regulations.

  • Provides technical supervision to First Officers to ensure proper execution of functions.

  • Ensures passenger safety and comfort, and compliance with aviation rules and regulations.

  • Completes all assigned courses as required by the company, Training Unit, or Fleet Captain.

  • Clears through Customs & Immigration and secures the aircraft.

  • Adheres to company cybersecurity policies, ensuring safe handling of information, protection of systems, and compliance with data security standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technical discipline or High School diploma with 5,000 flight hours (2,000 hours as PIC).

  • Knowledge and Experience: Minimum 144,000 flight hours on narrow-body airplanes.

  • Licenses and Certificates: GACA ATP, GACA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
