Role Overview

Accountable for directing the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer unit and ancillary equipment. Provide leadership in operations, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and achieve production and reliability targets while fostering a culture of teamwork and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment, demonstrating leadership in all safety processes.

  • Provide technical guidance to operations teams, assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and plant startups/shutdowns.

  • Monitor production, performance, and reliability to meet safety and operational targets.

  • Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and site management to optimize plant efficiency.

  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.

  • Manage logs, worklists, and emergency/high-level mitigation plans.

  • Facilitate training and development of operations personnel to achieve Level 1 competency.

  • Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations (or equivalent with experience).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries, with at least 4 years in supervisory operations roles.

  • Proven leadership, coordination, and communication skills in multi-team operational environments.

  • Strong technical knowledge in operations, engineering, and maintenance activities.

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local environmental, health, and safety standards.
