Job Description

The Mine Superintendent oversees the daily operations of a mine site, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and within budget. This leadership role involves supervising mine personnel, coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. Key Accountabilities Manage and coordinate all mining activities to meet production goals. Monitor equipment use, mining methods, and workforce productivity. Implement short- and medium-term mine plans. Supervise and provide leadership to mine supervisors, engineers, and operators. Oversee workforce scheduling, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork Ensure all operations comply with company policies, federal/state mining regulations, and safety standards (MSHEM). Lead and participate in incident investigations and safety audits. Promote safety programs and continuous improvement in safety performance.
